Maybe that's why I was mesmerized by this series! Renting back then, with a student's grant money income was pretty well a nightmare. And yet, in that crowd, I knew peeps who lived in these multi-million apartments! NYC artist aristocracy.
The stories...well, never mind. I was O.K., yet a couple of pals of mine signed a lease and then had to bribe the manager a few hundred dollars to get the heat turned on. True, I swear!
